Alpha-TMS is modular, so you only pay for that functionality that is really needed. Although alpha-TMS is fine to use (and up and running within days) without integration with your own system, time can be saved by integrating via an EDI / API connection.
Why?
Customer systems (ERPs or warehouse management systems) often contain all the data needed to send a transport order. However, they usually lack an effective transport management module, resulting in manual work after booking. Think of order handling via e-mails or in carriers' portals. This leaves less time to look closely at costs. By automatically loading the required order data into alpha-TMS via an API, double input is avoided and there is time to manage transport properly.
We establish an API connection between shippers' system and alpha-TMS. We are very flexible and can connect to all systems suitable for this purpose, such as SAP, ORACLE, Microsoft Dynamics. We take into account the shipper's internal planning cycle and data security requirements. Thus, we provide a suitable solution that is tested in a separate environment before the connection is used. If not all transport data is available in a customer system (e.g. surcharges), these can be supplemented in alpha-TMS.
Available customer orders are brought into alpha-TMS and can be converted into transport orders manually or (partially) automatically. It is possible to combine multiple customer orders, thus reducing transport costs and CO2 emissions.
If no rates are available then a rate request can be posted directly in our Spot Module. Conversely, alpha-TMS can send any desired information from the database back to the customer system.
