Because each carrier has its own strength in cargo size (groupage, LTL, FTL) and country or region, it is often wise to work with multiple carriers and make contract arrangements. Rate tables of different carriers almost always differ in terms of classification (graduated and postcode zones), and there are differences in surcharges such as fuel clause. The lack of transparency makes quick comparison of transport rates for a specific shipment is time-consuming and sometimes even impossible. Customer systems (ERPs and WMS systems) are also often unable to accommodate this properly to compare on total price. This quickly leads to making wrong choices when assigning shipments to carriers.
For a specific loading location, destination and volume/weight, available transport rates are presented at the touch of a button. A chart and table show the total prices of the available carriers, including the applicable fuel surcharge and any other surcharges selected. The transit time is also shown. From the available rates, the best option for each shipment can be easily and instantly selected. With our "Order" module can then directly place a transport order.
