Because every carrier has its own strength in load size (groupage, LTL, FTL) and country or region, it is often wise to work with multiple carriers and make contractual agreements. Rate tables of different carriers always differ in terms of layout (tier and postcode zones), and there are differences in surcharges such as fuel clauses. The lack of transparency makes comparing transport rates for a specific shipment time-consuming and sometimes even impossible. Customer systems (ERPs) are often not able to accommodate this properly to compare based on total price. This quickly leads to making wrong choices when allocating shipments to carriers.
For a specific loading location, destination, and volume/weight, the available transport rates are presented with the click of a button. A graph and table show the total prices of the available transporters, including the applicable fuel surcharge and any other selected surcharges for services required. The transit time is also displayed. The best option for a shipment can be easily be selected from the available rates. With our “Order” module, a transport order can be placed directly.
