Alpha-TMS is designed in a modular way, so you only pay for the functionality that is truly necessary. While Alpha-TMS can be used independently, integrating it with your existing system via an EDI or API connection can save you valuable time. With this integration, you can seamlessly transfer data between systems and streamline your operations, saving even more valuable time.
Customer systems (ERPs or Warehouse Management Systems) often contain all the necessary data to send a transport order. However, there is often a lack of an effective transport management module, resulting in manual work. Think of order handling via emails or in carrier portals. This leaves less to no time to properly look at the costs. It is of course time-saving if the required order data is automatically loaded into alpha-TMS through an API. This prevents duplicate data entry and leaves time to properly manage transport.
We establish an API connection between the customer’s system and Alpha-TMS. We are highly flexible and can connect with any suitable system, taking into account the shipper’s internal planning cycle and data security requirements. This ensures a suitable solution that is tested in a separate environment before the connection is put into use. Sometimes not all transport data is available in a customer’s system, for example surcharge information. However, this is not a problem data can always be manually completed in Alpha-TMS if necessary.
Through the API, customer shipments can be retrieved in Alpha-TMS. The conversion of customer shipments to transport orders can be done manually or (partially) automated. It is possible to combine multiple customer shipments into one transport order to save on transport costs and reduce the impact on the environment. The criteria for creation of combinations can be determined by the shipper. If no rates are available, a rate request can be placed directly in our Spot Module. Conversely, Alpha-TMS can send all desired information back to the customer’s database.
