This is convenient, as shippers then take on some of the work of the carrier’s customer service. Often, APIs are then established between the systems of customers and carriers. The connection to each carrier must be made and maintained by the IT department of a shipper. Especially connections with multiple carriers take time and money. We connect transporters who want an API to alpha-TMS for free and securely using our Xdock module. We have experienced experts who ultimately implement the connection. We are flexible regarding data protocols and adapt to what works best for the carrier. We first test connections in our test environment so they don’t disrupt operations. Then we can send order information, as well as receive order statuses or delivery dates, depending on what is possible with the transporter’s system. The great advantage of working with alpha-TMS and connections via Xdock is that a shipper never has to think about APIs with carriers.
It is also possible to use Xdock stand-alone if no functionality of alpha-TMS is needed. A shipper can connect their system directly to Xdock and get access to every transporter with one API connection.
