We are not a carrier, transporter, 3PL or 4PL provider. We support shippers as an independent expert with services in logistics procurement, control tower services, supply chain optimisation and also have our own transport management software available.

Yes, our clients are shippers. We have no rate agreements with carriers and we never get commission when we suggest logistics service providers to our clients. We therefore never have preferences or "double agendas" when we advise. This allows us to operate completely independently and provide the best advice for our clients.

With the right market knowledge, process knowledge, software tools and a focus on quality, service and cost, we reduce transport costs and realise operational efficiency. No expensive consultants, we roll up our sleeves and achieve the predefined results together with our customers. We deliver services and software with guarantees.

On our home page we start with the 6 different services we offer. The common denominator between all our services and software applications is optimal transport costs for the service you need. If transport costs play a role in your issue or challenge, we often have a solution for it. From procurement of transport, to determining logistics footprints, to in-house transport management software.

We work for any size company that needs structural transport, from small SMEs to large multinationals. Depending on the size of the project, we determine with our client or sometimes a recruiter, in advance how best to approach the project and what it can deliver. The larger long-term projects are often on an interim/hourly basis. For smaller projects that often do not require full-time work, we work on a fixed-price or performance-based bonus basis.

Tendering (Transport procurement)

It depends on the modality, and market developments. For road transport and parcel freight, we recommend tendering once every 2 to 3 years. For sea freight, the market is very dynamic and you often pay too much with long-term contracts because price buffers are built in. Monthly or quarterly is then better, for which we have developed a specific e-tender platform.
 

We provide procurement experts with knowledge of the market, knowledge of the process and unique software. Often, our clients also lack the time to get it right and structured. In general, a transport tender takes around 3 months. Especially with our analysis software, we save a lot of time. The duration also depends on wishes, requirements, scope and the availability of the right shipment information.

Regarding road transport, we are continuously active in tenders with transport consignments from all countries to all countries within Europe. Less frequently, we take care of projects outside Europe, such as Asia and America. For sea and air freight, this concerns a global scope.

As a shipper, you want to ensure that the external specialist hired is completely independent. The motivation should be for shippers to have the quality and service they want performed at the lowest possible cost. If your hired tender specialist gets commission from logistics service provider(s), or if the specialist already has fixed contract agreements with parties, you will be tempted to recommend them while there may be better parties in the market for the shipper.

Yes you can. However, because our customers tender occasionally and we tender on an ongoing basis, we have found that it is more effective for us to calculate and analyse the tenders ourselves using our current comprehensive software. For this, we use a representative (annual) profile with shipments that our customers provide. During this process, we directly check whether the rates supplied are complete and correct. We are currently working on a new update that is more time-efficient, which we will then make available to our customers on a standalone basis.

Transinnovate provides online software applications, so no local installations are required. Customers can choose from two flavours. Either we realise a link with an API to the customer's ERP, so that orders automatically enter the TMS. Or the applications are used standalone and customers enter transport orders manually. In the latter case, a customer can start within a few days. When an API is required, we depend on the speed of the customer's IT department. Normally, the duration then is several weeks. 

No, a TMS from Transinnovate is modular. The exact need is determined in advance together with the customer and the right modules are activated based on this. This flexibility allows us to keep the application simple and low cost. You only pay for what you need. Read here More about the functionalities of our TMS software.

Our software focuses mainly on road transport (Europe), parcel and/or sea freight. Air freight is planned to be added in the near future.

Yes, there is a fixed 3-month free trial period for shippers. We help shippers set up the environment, train them on how to use it, load rates and invite logistics service providers. Within a few days, shippers can get started together with their logistics service providers.

The cost depends on the number of orders and modules required. A business licence is used, regardless of the number of users. We always agree a fixed annual licence with our customers, based on the expected number of orders. If there is exceptional growth or shrinkage in the number of orders and the number of orders rises above or falls below the agreed bandwidth, the licence fee is revised at the end of the licence period. Of course, all details surrounding this bandwidth are in the licence agreement.

Customers (shippers) explicitly cooperate with their own selected logistics service providers, these service providers get their own account for the TMS. Service providers can only access the customer's environment at the invitation of customers.

Our TMSs can also forward orders and rate requests digitally to logistics service providers. Logistics service providers can also digitally pass on confirmations and additional charges. This service is free but conditional on the customer having a licence with us. In other words, during the free trial period, we basically do not do this yet.
